Our Goals

  • To serve the people in our community who are struggling financially in a way that preserves their dignity.
  • To provide a confidential environment that respects an individual’s privacy and acknowledges how difficult it is to ask for assistance.
  • To empower people to be self-sufficient as quickly as possible without placing additional stress on them.
  • To involve the community in a way that teaches empathy, encourages respect and nurtures compassion.
  • To provide a basis for understanding that the people who use the pantry could be our neighbors and friends who are struggling without our knowledge.

Jennifer Davis is the proud mother of two awesome boys and a devoted wife.

She is an integral part of our churches food pantry, Feeding Powhatan.

Jennifer was called to help those less fortunate and from this calling Feeding Powhatan was born.

Jennifer is devoted to the mission of the food pantry and prays that God will continue to bless its mission and the service it provides in the Powhatan community.

LIFE Groups

Ready to dig deeper? Joining a LIFE group will help you do that! If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal—and to pursue spiritual growth, a LIFE group is the best way to do that! LIFE groups form in the fall and meet for a 6-8 week period with a new study each time. Besides being a great way to connect with others and just really fun, LIFE groups encourage you to live out the truths you discover in the Bible.

Prison Ministry

Hebrews 13:3 (ESV) Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you are also in the body. Our main goal is to minister and help young men while they are incarcerated. To listen to their concerns and through the Word of Christ, give them direction to be God-serving men of society. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (ESV) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.
